You'll need PHP, an SQL database, and Apache to run Shorty. Change configuration.php to match your database settings and then upload the package contents to your server. You'll need to put Shorty in a subdirectory (eg domain.com/shorty/). Make sure the .htaccess file gets up there.

Then just run _install.php!
